Capital Reef Nat'l Park is narrow east to west, but extends north to south for more than 100 miles, almost reaching some of the northern "fingers" of Lake Powell and the Colorado River that feeds Lake Powell (in part). This gallery is but a small sampling of images, mostly from along or near Utah Route 24 from visits on October 21, 2011 and September 27-28, 2012.
"Navajo Dome", viewed from near the Fremont RIver (right, out of view). October 21, 2011. Nikon D700 and Nikkor 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 VR lens at 100mm.
